RCA Introduces "New" White Screen Television (Picture)
Tubes. The 3" 906-P4 is $15.00, the 5" 1802-P4 is $27.50, and
the New RCA monoscope tube (provides source of video signal for testing TV
equipment) was a whopping $95.00 (about $1050 in today's money).
Early television picture tubes were either shades of green, yellow, or sepia
(brown).
